Our Process

Sourcing

Clover only sources whole plant ingredients that are clean, organic, and free from additives of any kind. We craft our blends using organic ingredients for many reasons, check out Organic - Why is it Better? to learn more.

Our organic ingredients are ethically sourced from around the globe. Clover values integrity, fairness, and mutual respect among all its employees and suppliers. We conduct all sourcing in an ethical and socially responsible manner to ensure suppliers are abiding by the law.

Clover supports the guiding principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption. Clover only uses suppliers who formally adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct. This Code holds our suppliers accountable to ensuring fair, humane, and ethical employment and business practices such as:

• No child labour.
· No prison or forced labour or any form of contractual servitude.
· Fair work hours and wages.
· No discrimination.
· Safe and healthy workplace.
· Support for a diverse business community including minority, women-owned, person of colour owned, and disadvantaged businesses.
· Respect for the environment.

Crafting

Our adaptogenic herbal tea blends are crafted by Clover founder and certified tea sommelier, Paul Higgins. Paul uses creativity to craft balanced blends without the use of any flavourings (natural or artificial) - natural, as nature intended.

We’re obsessed with quality and that’s why we work with small batch blending for quality, consistency, and freshness. Clover’s tea sommeliers source various botanical cut sizes for each ingredient to ensure optimal blending and steeping properties for the best possible blend experience. We test rigorously to ensure optimal strength, colour, profile and synergy with other ingredients - for optimal function to target specific health ailments. We carefully select and incorporate complimentary adaptogens into all of our blends to help the body adapt to stress, support normal metabolic function, and help restore equilibrium.

Packaging

When it comes to product packaging our ultimate goal is zero-waste. We intentionally avoid creating any landfill waste and ensure our packaging is as sustainable as possible. At Clover, we are 100% committed to sustainability and focused on giving back. A major focus of our mission is to help people feel better (naturally), through sustainable, low impact production methods. We will always actively do our part to help leave the world better than how we found it.
